A policy index on healthy and sustainable food systems for governments – INFORMAS 2.0

Abstract Issue/problem The rising burden of malnutrition in all its forms is driven by a global transition towards unhealthy ultra-processed food consumption patterns. As diets are shaped systems, political decision-makers pressed to guarantee access healthy for all, without harmful environment impacts. Description the problem Scientific evidence on policies implementation show need evaluate and benchmark government policies. Through compilation international recommendations, an ongoing scoping review, Delphi study with policy experts stakeholder interviews, International Network Food Obesity/NCDs Research, Monitoring Action Support (INFORMAS) aims create index monitor governments' actions sustainable systems. Results recommendations from evidence-based reports (n = 22) systems were compiled.
